(March 14) - Benefit for national psychotrauma
victims
Esther Ofarim will sing Yoni Rechter's
arrangements of some of her hit songs with the Israel
Philharmonic at a benefit to be held at the Mann Auditorium on April 2.
The benefit is for the
Israel Support Center for Victims of National Psychotrauma, a
non-profit organization dedicated to the support of those traumatized by terror
attacks, shellshock and other emotional brutalities "which are part of the
fabric of existence in Israel."
Ofarim and Rechter will perform such old favorites as "Night,"
"Mad About the Boy," and Beatles songs. The second half of the program
will feature Ofarim and the IPO in Hebrew songs. The MC is Ehud Manor. Info:
