Esther Ofarim Interviewed
in Israel Hookup. NEW YORK - Esther Ofarim Philips Records artist, participated in a three-way live phone interview on Israeli Radio last week following her return here from an extended concert tour with the Smothers Brothers. Miss Ofarim, a native of Israel, was interviewed for a half hour by Azaria Rappaprt, who was in Jerusalem. Rappaport, former Billboard correspondent, is a producer-commentator on the Israeli Radio Network. The young singer is well known throughout Europe. She was headlined in the major concert halls and theaters, has starred in German films, and has had her own TV specials on the BBC in London and Europe's TV network, Eurovision. Prior to her departure in May of fulfill concert and TV comitments in Europe and Israel, she is scheduled to record an album for Philips.
